Depuis le 28 juin 2018, cette organisation non gouvernementale a vu le jour sous la présidence de Njamen Rodrigue avec ses objectifs spécifiques comme son nom l’indique. Mais face à l’urgence du temps, elle a ajouté à ses buts orignaux la lutte contre ce virus qui défie l’humanité.
Accompagnée par la mairie de Marcory dans cet engagement pour freiner la pandémie planétaire, Sport et Solidarité a posté des agents volontaires à tous les points de rassemblement de la population, les inciter au respect des mesures barrières du COVID-19. Les gares de taxis communaux, les marchés et supermarchés, les transports en commun etc. Les volontaires de l’ONG Sport et Solidarité rappellent aux usagers le port du masque que le ministère de la santé a rendu obligatoire pour toute personne empruntant un transport en commun ou se rendant dans un endroit public.
Mais comme on peut l’imaginer, la population ne rend pas facile cette tâche salvatrice pour chacun et pour tous. Si ce n’est pas un contrevenant aux règles barrières qui leur verse son venin dessus, c’est un patron verreux qui leur met les bâtons dans les roues. C’est l’exemple du patron de la supérette Néné Gallet d’Aliodan palmier qui appelle la police pour faire arrêter un volontaire. Dans quel but ? Seul ce sieur saura répondre. En tout cas, le mercredi 15 avril 2020, nous avons été témoin de ce qui est relaté ici. On oublie pas les guerres de leadership que les chefs de gare des woro-woro de Marcory leur livre. En tout cas, le maire Abi Raoul devra se décider si tant qu’il a donné mandat à M. Njamen et à sa structure d’agir en son nom.
Assurer la nourriture et le transport d’une trentaine de volontaires par jour… ça donne à réfléchir. Les maires des communes du Grand Abidjan et les bonnes volontés doivent aider les personnes et structures telles que celle que dirige M. Njamen. Comme l’ont dit tous les politiques, face au COVID-19, nous devons nous donner la main afin de mettre hors d’état de nuire, ce machin qui défie mêmes les plus grands dans ce monde.

Municipal taxi stations, markets and supermarkets, public transport etc. Volunteers from the NGO Sport et Solidarité remind users to wear the mask that the Ministry of Health has made compulsory for anyone using public transport or going to a public place.

Providing food and transportation for around 30 volunteers a day … that gives food for thought. The mayors of the municipalities of Greater Abidjan and goodwill must help people and structures such as the one headed by Mr. Njamen. As all politicians have said, facing COVID-19, we must join hands in order to put out of harm’s way, this thing that challenges even the greatest in this world.
